The hill state of Himachal Pradesh will go to the ballots to decide its future by November 2022 as the present BJP government stands to complete its tenure by 8th January 2023. Situated on the mighty Himalayan range, the state has consistently championed ecological vigilance. It became the first state in India to launch a paperless legislative assembly. Along with ecological vigilance, the state is also known for its clear anti-incumbency voting patterns; the state has not seen any incumbent government returning to power since 1993. With the assembly elections hardly four months away in Himachal Pradesh, it is emerging as a political hotspot of immense intrigue to political observers and the state’s voters.
