India’s Auto Expo- the second largest auto show in the world is around the corner with the theme of “automotive technologies that drive the world”. The event will focus on technologies driving product innovation, efficient manufacturing and logistics.
Auto Expo component show will take place at the Pragati Maidan convention center, New Delhi on February 8-11, 2018. Over 1,500 exhibitors from over 20 countries are participating to exhibit technology advancements.
This year, Global automotive powertrain components manufacturer BorgWarner is showcasing an array of automotive solutions in areas of forced induction, emission, cooling, timing and electric drives at Auto expo component show.
You’ll see forced induction technologies such as eBooster electrically-supported turbocharger, gasoline exhaust gas turbocharger and ball bearing exhaust gas turbocharger in its stall there.
The key organizer SIAM said that they will extend the biennial show by one more day compared to the previous edition.
Auto Expo 2018 for the first time will have a separate zone for exhibiting innovations of startups, especially in the electric vehicle segment, indicating gen next’s growing role in the Indian automotive industry.
According to Vipin Sondhi, chairman, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) Trade Fair Committee, “Leading component manufacturers not only from India, but also from Germany, Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Canada and the UK among many others, will give a peek into their innovation and solutions for future mobility. The international contingents will not only showcase their products but will also look towards striking partnerships with Indian companies, sharing common goals.”
Special Zones at Components Show
The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) has divided the components show into three zones –
You will also find there a bearing pavilion, garage equipment pavilion and an ACMA pavilion for road safety.
Auto Expo component exhibition for the very first time also includes specially crafted student engagement activities to make students an integral part of the automotive industry. SMEs are also going to make their strong presence felt at 2018 component show.
Blend of Technology and Sustainability
The Auto Expo show 2018 will display a range of products and technology with an increased focus on technology in compliance with emission norms, environment, and safety. Indian automotive industry is graduating from BS IV norms to BS VI standards and expected to fully compliant with it by 2022.
Since the government’s prime focus is on electric mobility this year, so the participating component manufacturers would definitely display technologies around the same.
It seems this year’s Auto Expo Component show has a lot new to share and display. Although you will find many industry giants absent in the motor show, the component section is all set to mesmerize visitors with innovation and technology.
